Sunday 30/11/14

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, our Home fixture vs Bucks @ Oaks on 30/11 has been cancelled. We are looking to arrange another fixture but this may not be until after Christmas.

The coaches would like to hold an open training session at Oaks instead (weather permitting). This session is open to all u15 & u18s from across Dorset & Wilts, irrespective if you are part of the current squad or not. This is an opportunity for the coaches to see as many girls as possible in one place and the hope is that it will not only give us a final chance to view the girls before the deadline for Divisional but also it will allow us to see players ahead of next season so we can assist with their personal player development plans.

This is also an opportunity for girls who are not part of the current setup to experience this before next season.

Please arrive at 13:15 ready to play. We will split each age group up into 2 teams with the intention of playing a match. Please note this will not be 'county' vs everyone else but a mix of the 2.

We will then warm up and the matches will kickoff at. 14:00. As this was originally a fixture, after match food will be provided.

This session will only be successful if as many girls as possible from across D&W can attend. Please let us know if you cannot attend

URGENT - Cancellation 23/11/14

We have been informed by Bryanston School that we are unable to use the facilities due to heavy rainfall, therefore training today is cancelled. I will update the website regarding next Sunday, 30/11/14

Fixture vs Devon - 09/11/14

D&W Girls Training - 28th October

This Sunday, 28th October 2014 sees the first squad training session of the new season. Training will again be held at Bryanston School between 12:00-14:00. The quality and commitment shown by all was fantastic, and you did yourselves and your clubs proud. Please remember that all kit needs to be ordered from our suppliers website, www.michaelhope.co.uk by Fri 20th September, so it can be ready for the County Festival. Trials - Order of the day

The format of the day will be that players will trial in the morning and those selected will then take part in a squad training session in the afternoon (Feedback for non-selected players will happen during afternoon session by Management Team)

Please note that no persons other than D&W Coaching Team are to be within 3m of pitchside during any of the sessions

10:50-11:10 Handling (Focus on technique, communication and attitude)

11:20-11:50 Split-Forwards/Backs (Forwards: Scrimmage, Backs: Handling)

12:00-13:00 Game Play (3x15min games & Cool down)

13:00-13:30 Lunch (Selection during lunch)

13:30-13:40 Squad Announcement

Please ensure that all players bring food & drinks for the day along with suitable clothing and footwear, should weather change during the day

Dorset & Wilts Trials

As like last year, Trials will be held at Bryanston School, Blandford, Dorset, DT11 0PX on 14/09/2014

Once onsite, follow signs for 'Playing Fields' & 'Hawker Pavillion'. You should see the rugby pitches as you approach the main campus.

Please ensure you arrive by 09:15 so your daughter has time to change and register.  Please bring a signed & completed consent form with you as you will not be able to trial without this.
