All players and supporters travelling by car should enter via Green Lane (7) also signed Chilcompton/Wells - and will be guided by Downside 6th Form Stewards to the Parking Zone in the area just above Astro Hockey/Tennis (3) and then access the Pavilion (18) just across the lane.

There is a voluntary donation per car of £2.00 that is being collected by the School for their Christmas Charity Mary's Meals who work to provide Food for Children in less fortunate Education locations - if you can spare more than £2.00 then that will be greatly appreciated.

There are changing rooms on the ground floor of the pavilion that will be marked accordingly - all with doors leading directly out to the pitches. There is an upstairs upstairs refectory for other visitors and supporters teas, coffees, cakes and other refreshments

Please note - do not arrive any earlier than 10.15 am.

Refreshments will be on Sale in the Refectory on the first floor of the Pavilion.

Food will be served for each age group 15/20 mins after the end of the matches in the main school dining halls - 6th Form Stewards will be on hand to help guide players to these locations.

There will be a gazebo set up for anyone wishing to take photos to register.

Friday night training

Training will be held on Friday 2nd November at Sherborne RFC - DT9 5NS. Please be there at 6.45 to start training at 7pm. We will finish at 9pm.

Remember to wrap up warm and to register with Ginny before you train.

Some people couldn't find the club last time as the postcode isn't that accurate. As you drive out of Sherborne on the A352 to Dorchester look for the floodlights on your left. It is called the Terraces Playing Fields and we will be on the pitch to the right of the car park. The bar will be closed but we hope to be able to offer refreshments at the shed on pitchside.

Girls are to wear appropriate clothing in which to warm up. Playing shirts are provided. County shorts and socks should be worn for the match and please remember gum shields and boots!

After match dress code is dark coloured skirt/trousers and a white blouse together with smart shoes.

This training is for all squad and development squad girls at North Dorset RFC (SP8 5SY).

Please arrive at 6.45 ready to start training at 7pm. You will need clothing appropriate to the weather, boots and a gum shield. Training will finish at 9pm.

If you have received an email asking for your RFU number please ensure you have it with you and give it to the Team Manager. Please register with your team manager on arrival.

The club house will be open to parents for refreshments.

Squad Selection

The emails for the squad selections will be sent out on Wednesday morning.

This Sunday (2nd October) is the Trials Day and it will be held at Chippenham RFC (Allington Fields, Frogwell, Chippenham SN14 0YZ) starting at 09:30 and is due to finish at 14:30

For those girls that were unable to attend the first Assessment Day (25th September) at Sherborne Girls School, please can you ensure that you are there promptly at 09:20 and that you have your signed Player Contact Consent form.

Assessment Day - 25th September 2016

Assessment day is at Sherborne Girls School. Meet in the Oxley Sport Centre Car Park (DT9 3DA) at 9:15am. It is due to finish at 3pm.

All players must arrive dressed ready for the trials and should bring:

• a light lunch / snack and plenty of fluids / water bottle

• appropriate clothing - layers for warming up, waterproofs (no zips etc)

• Pre-molded mouthguard

• Please ensure all jewellery is removed / taped over and there are no metal or plastic hair clips.

Parents / guardians are allowed to stay to watch the assessment day, but they must remain at least 5 metres from the training areas and not interact with the girls for the duration of the assessment / trials.

Sherborne Girls School is a working school with boarders and staff living there, as such, please refrain from wandering around the school. It is a non smoking site and dogs are not permitted.

Nomination forms have been sent out to schools and clubs in Dorset and Wiltshire. Please contact us (dwgirlsrugby@gmail.com) if your club / school hasn't received an email.

Initially there will be an assessment day on Sunday 25th September at Sherborne. Details will be sent out to the parents of nominated girls with the details.

Summer Camp

Dorset & Wilts are trying to ascertain if there would be any interest in an U18s and U15s girls' summer camp this year. This would be a residential camp at Sherborne Girls' School in either July or August. It could be a weekend or a mid week camp depending on when it is held. Costs are unknown at this stage as they are simply trying to get an idea of interest.
